SUMMARY:Crex Youth Hunt & Fish Camp
DESCRIPTION:Youth aged 10-13 are invited to join us for a day camp focusing on hunting and fishing basics! Kids will have the opportunity to learn to shoot a bow\, learn to set up a fishing rod\, and learn some of the basics of firearm safety. *Please note that this does NOT count as an official Hunter Education Course. \nThe first 2 days of camp will be hosted at the Crex Meadows Wildlife Education & Visitor Center at 102 E Crex Ave\, Grantsburg. The third\, and final\, day of camp will be hosted at Memory Lake Park in downtown Grantsburg. ***Parents will need to drop off AND pick up kids at Memory Lake Park on Day 3.*** \nKids will be allowed to bring their own fishing equipment on Day 3 if they have their own.

A link to the book club meeting will also be available on this page when the book club meeting begins. \nAbout the book… \n“The Green River\, the most significant tributary of the Colorado River\, runs 730 miles from the glaciers of Wyoming to the desert canyons of Utah. Over its course it meanders through ranches\, cities\, national parks\, endangered fish habitats\, and some of the most significant natural gas fields in the country\, as it provides water for 33 million people. Stopped up by dams\, slaked off by irrigation\, and dried up by cities\, the Green is crucial\, overused\, and at risk\, now more than ever. \nFights over the river’s water\, and what’s going to happen to it in the future\, are longstanding\, intractable\, and only getting worse as the west gets hotter and drier and more people depend on the river with each passing year.
