Crex Nature Book Club- From Badgers to Nighthawks by Malcolm J Ingham

Join us virtually or in person the 4th Wednesday of each month for a nature-themed book club! (Dates that conflict with holidays or are close to holidays will be changed).
**October’s book club date has been moved to the 3rd Wednesday to accommodate other events happening at Crex Meadows on the 4th Wednesday.**
Ticket sales close 6 weeks before the meeting. You only need to purchase a ticket if you need a copy of the book supplied for you. The $15 ticket fee covers the cost of the book. If you want to obtain the book on your own, please choose the free RSVP instead of purchasing a ticket.
Zoom links will be sent directly to your email when you RSVP/purchase a ticket. A link to the book club meeting will also be available on this page when the book club meeting begins.
About the book…
“Malcolm J Ingham worked as a Ranger & Wildlife Officer for over 30 years during which time he, along with his wife Ann, formed the Wirral Wildlife Rehabilitation Unit.
Here he tells his stories, some sad, some hilarious of his efforts to become a ranger, of confronting badger diggers and assisting the Police, The National Wildlife Crime Unit & RSPCA Special Operations Unit in the battle to combat wildlife crime, particularly badger digging and baiting.
From the trials and tribulations of a badger release, chasing a deer in Birkenhead, rescuing a Saker falcon off an Iranian ship to returning an American Nighthawk to Belize to name but a few.”
